I'd really like to be able to modify my controls (I don't want to have to start running by dodge rolling first). The upside of the one hit kill on everything is it can make the boss fights seem interesting, on the other hand, having to watch a boss tea bag me for a few seconds every time i die and then having to make my way back to the boss fight and rinse and repeat until i manage to figure out how to kill them doesn't feel satisfying. I also find it rather annoying that there isn't always a good way of knowing if you are doing the right thing with some bosses, since it's one hit kills, you have to hope you are doing the right thing and not looking at it the entirely wrong way. In the games defense, some of the bosses are really obvious, others I'm sitting here going "okay, but how do i do that?" and still others where I'm sitting here and I think i'm on the right track but I have no way of knowing until i manage to kill the boss. At the end of the day I want to look up a guide to make sure I'm doing it right but I feel like that just kills the fun for this kind of game. on the upside, the boss fight music is good for what little i get to hear it.. The game is surprisingly playable with just keyboard controls. However, the final boss is complete bs on keyboard.. I really wanted to like this game. I am a massive fan of boss rush games and this one had an interesting mechanic and great art design. However, there is one major flaw in its design that makes it unbearable to play. There is no retry button on bosses. This means that you have to spend at least ten seconds to walk all the way back to the boss, most of the time longer than that. For a game with bosses that kill you in one hit and are not always clear on how to beat, this means about 80% of the game is wasted going back to fight the same boss. I am disappointed in this because what is played in the two seconds of actual fighting is fun. The controls aren't bad and the bosses are unique, but this is weighed down by the fact that you spent an hour playing this game with maybe five minutes of actual gameplay. If they fix this, buy this game. It really seems like something special, but without this one feature, it is unplayable.. Titan Souls is a totally distinct game, whether for its aesthetics, its mechanics or its purpose, but none of it makes it a bad game, quite the opposite. Here we have almost nothing of dialogue or clear lore, but the grandiosity of the scenarios (which I really liked) makes it clear that there is a lot of story in that world, we just do not know it. The character is armed only with an arrow (you need to rescue it to shoot again) and the only goal is to kill the Titans. Each titan is totally different from the others which gives a very different dynamic between each of them. Titan Souls is the perfect game for those who like difficult games, for those who like simple mechanics and for those who love boss fight!. I really wanted to like this game. This game really appealed to me because there are no "mobs" to kill, just bosses and sometimes puzzles on how to get to them. The boss mechanics vary enough from different fights to keep the game entertaining. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoy challenging boss fights.. Genuinely the most restrictive boss rush game I've played. You've only got one option for attacking: a singular arrow that you have to recall after you fire it. Sounds cool on paper, right?Dear lord, the bosses I was able to fight were infuriatingly unfun. Gimmickey bs doesn't justify longevity\/replay ability especially since you can only roll, sprint, or shoot a singular arrow. I realize that I keep circling back to the singular arrow aspect of the game, but boss rush games usually provide more than one way to confront a boss... AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM FUN. RESTRICTING YOUR PLAYER TO ONLY ONE MODE OF ATTACK\/ METHOD OF DEALING WITH A BOSS DOESN'T MAKE IT FUN IN A BOSS. RUSH. GAME.Overall, just play Shadow of the Colossus (as this game seems to be heavily inspired by it) or FURI (better overall design, gameplay, boss design, environments for each boss, etc.)..
